In my opinion, every journalist who refers to “harsh interrogation techniques” when both the law and common usage of the English language dictate that the word “torture” be used should be exposed to those techniques until they understand that words have meaning. Journalists are supposed to speak truth to power, not cover for criminal acts committed by the government.
